I have been in contact with Jeff Marraccini to try and get a 5-1/4" floppy
dist to test an Apple /// computer that I have. He suggested that I contact
you as he has all of his materials packed up.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

My apologies but we still have not completed our move, we ran into a
lot of trouble with the buyer. All my stuff is still packed up in
storage :(

Please check with apple3-l at news.altair.com as I think someone else
will be able to ship you a floppy faster than I can at present. Sorry
for the trouble.

Thanks,

Jeff

Daniel,
you can download a boot disk from the internet and transfer it via serial cable to the APPLE ///
I used http://adt.berlios.de/

It cost you nothing more than a serial cable and a null modem (or just re-solder the serial cable) and maybe you already have this at home.
The procedure is so easy that even I was able to do it , so no problem for you :-)

Benefits are, you can get a ton of software from the internet and transfer it to the /// that way.

The whole procedure can be done in 30 minutes. ( 3 h if you are like me and have to search your closet for the cable :-))

ADT won't work until you get Apple II emulation going... in the mean
time, ADTPro will bootstrap directly into SOS:

Thanks David and Wolfgang for your help :) The weather has not been
cooperative for us to finish our move so all my ///'s are still in
storage.

Have a great weekend,

Sorry, my bad.

David is right, you need ADT pro.

Sorry it is a while since I used it.

But it is easy to use :-)

Dan - I'd open it up and make sure all the chips are reseated - use your thumb to gently do that - you will likely have to gently pull off the daughter board with the memory on it to reseat those. Also know that the internal disk drive speed could be off - you have to check it under a strobe and adjust a small potentiometer (square with flathead screw on the end) to fix that.
